Absolute Submission X is a different grappling competition where Old School Grappling Rules meet New Grappling Rules.

There are NO weightclasses.......... There are NO Points for positioning or takedowns........ ALL Submissions are legal (see rules).......... and you only score a point for a solid submission attempt.

You will be contacted by the promotor if you are selected to compete, and a $65 Registration fee will need to be paid.

If you are injured during training, you are required to get a Dr's release sent to the promotor NO MORE than 2 weeks out from the event. Once this is received, you will be refunded. If you do not meet this requirement, the fee is non-refundable.

RULES:

One 10 Minute Round
One point given for a SOLID submission attempt only (Opponent must be in danger of submission for this to be a point)
NO points given for postion (Takedowns, Knee on Stomach, etc)
ALL Submissions are LEGAL, Except:
Finger and Toe submissions
Hand on front of throat from top position
Pressure point attacks (Knuckle in point of attack)
No biting, fishhooking, twisting of the skin
No slams (Takedowns are not a slam)
In the case of a tie, the ref will award the most agressive fighter. IF there is no agressor picked. Then a 2 minute overtime will be awarded. If there are still no points or a tie, then the aggressor in that round will be awarded the win.
If the match goes into the ropes, it will be restarted in the middle of the ring. If the match goes into the ropes during a submission attempt, it will continue unless there is danger to anyone. It will be restarted in the submission in the middle of the ring.
A point can be deducted if the ref sees a fighter escaping intentionally to the ropes, not engaging or if warnings have not been followed.
Shorts, mouthguard and cup are required for the tournament. Rashguards are allowed, NO shirts, Gi Tops, or Gi Pants are allowed.
Braces are allowed that do not contain any metal, UNLESS this is approved by the opponent.
Contestants will weigh in before the event, and brackets will be put together with the closest in weight against each other in the 1st round. The matches will continue from there.
If there is a 40lb difference between fighters, then the lighter fighter will be given 1pt at the start of the match to make this more even. 80lbs would be 2pts, and so on.
